Wyoming Beef Council Board Vacancies

The five voting members of the WBC are appointed by Wyoming's Governor to serve three-year terms.  Applications can be downloaded here and should be submitted to the WBC Executive Director by May 1st. Letters of support and recommendation are encouraged.

• The WBC has two upcoming vacancies for producers of range cattle.   The terms begin July 1, 2026 and end June 30, 2029 with the possibility of reappointment to an additional three-year term.  The link below will take you to the application and position description.  Applications are due April 30, 2026.

Wyoming Directors to the Federation of State Beef Councils

Wyoming Directors to the Federation of State Beef Councils are appointed by the members of the WBC and serve as non-voting members of the Council. Federation Directors serve three-year terms with no more than two terms to be served consecutively.  Federation Directors represent the WBC on national checkoff committees and must be available to attend both winter and summer checkoff committee meetings as well as participate in multiple video conferences throughout the year.

• The next Federation Director vacancy will occur February 28, 2027.  Applications are due March 31, 2027.  The term will begin upon appointment and end February 28, 2030 with the possibility of reappointment to an additional three-year term. Interviews and selection will occur at the Spring 2027 WBC meeting - date and location to be determined.

Wyoming Directors to the US Meat Export Federation

Wyoming Directors to the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) are appointed by the members of the WBC and serve as ex-officio (non-voting) members on the Council. USMEF Directors serve three-year terms with no more than two terms to be served consecutively.  The USMEF Director represents the WBC on the USMEF Board of Directors and must be available to attend USMEF meetings held in November and June each year.

• The next vacancy for Wyoming USMEF Director will occur May 31, 2028. Applications are due  January 1, 2028, with interviews occurring at the Spring 2028 WBC meeting--date and location to be determined.
