Wyoming Beef Council Board Vacancies

The five voting members of the WBC are appointed by Wyoming's Governor to serve three-year terms. Members can serve multiple terms but no more than two terms can be served consecutively. Applications can be downloaded here and should be submitted to the WBC Executive Director by May 1st. Letters of support and recommendation are encouraged.

• The WBC has one upcoming vacancy for a dairy representative.  The terms begins July 1, 2024 and ends June 30, 2027 with the possibility of reappointment to an additional three-year term.  This term is currently held by a dairy representative who is eligible for reappointment. • The WBC has two upcoming vacancies for producers of range cattle.   The terms begin July 1, 2025 and end June 30, 2028 with the possibility of reappointment to an additional three-year term.  These terms are currently held by producers who are eligible for reappointment. Wyoming Directors to the Federation of State Beef Councils

Wyoming Directors to the Federation of State Beef Councils are appointed by the members of the WBC and serve as non-voting members of the Council. Federation Directors serve three-year terms with no more than two terms to be served consecutively.  

• The next Federation Director vacancy will occur February 28, 2024.  Applications are due March 31, 2024. This position is currently held by Lynn George of Cody who is not eligible for reappointment.  The term will begin upon appointment and end February 28, 2027 with the possibility of reappointment to an additional three-year term. Interviews and selection will occur at the Spring WBC meeting - date and location to be determined.

Wyoming Directors to the US Meat Export Federation

Wyoming Directors to the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) are appointed by the members of the WBC and serve as ex-officio (non-voting) members on the Council. USMEF Directors serve three-year terms with no more than two terms to be served consecutively. 

• The next vacancy for Wyoming USMEF Director will occur June 1, 2025. Applications are due  January 1, 2025, with interviews occurring at the Spring WBC meeting--date and location to be determined.
